Computest introduces Managed Detection & Response with its own Security Operations Center

Zoetermeer, July 18, 2022 - Computest Group, specialist in cybersecurity services and DevOps, has expanded its security services with Managed Detection & Response (MDR). To this end, it has set up its own Security Operations Center (SOC).

With the addition of MDR to its portfolio, it can not only help customers prevent cyber incidents, but also assist them in detecting attacks and limiting the damage if they are hit by an attack. Moreover, by offering the full spectrum of security services, Computest is putting its ambition to become the leading security party in the Netherlands into practice.

Until recently the focus of Computest was on the prevention of cyber incidents. Here they looked at whether and where an attacker could penetrate. Hackers, however, use increasingly advanced and smarter attack methods, making it a challenge to stay one step ahead of them. Thanks to the addition of MDR and the setting up of a SOC, Computest ensures continuous monitoring of vulnerabilities and cyber attacks and can respond adequately in case of such an attack. Security experts advise on the right measures to take in order to limit the harmful consequences and impact and also ensure that organisations can continue to operate their daily business.

As a company you can have everything in order in terms of prevention, but this doesn't mean that you can guarantee that a cyber attack won't happen to you.

Dennis de Hoog, CEO of Computest Security

"As a company you can have everything in order in terms of prevention, but this doesn't mean that you can guarantee that a cyber attack won't happen to you”, zegt Dennis de Hoog, CEO van Computest Security. says Dennis de Hoog, CEO of Computest Security. "There will always be a residual risk that you have to prepare for. That's why good detection and response are essential. With the addition of Managed Detection & Response and a Security Operations Center, we are now assisting our customers 24/7 in all areas of security and helping them better guard against the risks and consequences of a cyber attack."

Managed Detection & Response (MDR) and Security Operations Center services are available immediately and are offered in subscription form for a fixed price per employee per month.

Next step in growth strategy

The announcement is the next step in Computest's growth strategy to become the leading and most customer-oriented security party in the Netherlands with a full service portfolio. To realise this ambition, separate business units for Prevent, Detect, Respond and Governance were already set up and De Hoog was recently appointed as the new CEO for Computest Security BV. "With our extensive services, specialised business units and expertise we have a solid basis for further customer-oriented growth," said De Hoog.
