Cybersecurity specialist Computest Security has hired Marc van Nuland as Strategic Advisor. In this role, he will be involved in developing the strategy of the company, among others. He will also utilise his knowledge and experience from the insurance branch to help companies, insurers and brokers make the financing of cyber risks possible. The Strategic Advisor position at Computest Security is a new challenge for van Nuland after fulfilling the role of Executive Chairman at insurance broker Aon, where he was also CEO for ten years.
Marc van Nuland began his career at Computer Security Consultants (now KPMG) and is a highly experienced business leader. Besides a wealth of knowledge, Marc also brings much valuable experience in professionalising and expanding organisations. With van Nuland on board, Computest Security aims to further develop the organisation while focusing on improving the insurability of cyber risks for (potential) insured parties, insurers and brokers.

“We are proud to welcome a colleague of Marc’s stature as Strategic Advisor so that together, we can further expand our position as leading security specialist in the insurance domain, among others,” says Dennis de Hoog, CEO at Computest Security. “It is difficult for many organisations to meet the acceptation criteria of insurers. Insurers, in turn, are struggling to establish what suffices as solid evidence for the insurability of organisations against cyber risks. With Marc’s valuable expertise in the area of financial risk management and the insurability of cyber risks, we are going to make a difference in this area.”
Growth potential
With his broad network, van Nuland will contribute to the brand awareness of Computest Security and thereby also to the commercial success of the organisation. Van Nuland says the following about his new role: “Computest Security has enormous growth potential. I see many opportunities for making cyber risks better insurable together with the talented professionals at the organisation and other partners in the insurance branch. This ensures organisations can look forward to a safe and successful future despite the present risks.”
