Performance problems are responsible for a poor users’ experience and, moreover, may also be to the detriment of your productivity and profitability. Therefore it is important to discover as quickly as possible what the bottlenecks are if an application is slow or at times simply unavailable.
What is troubleshooting?
Troubleshooting involves an extensive investigation, which is performed in order to quickly discover the cause of performance problems. Troubleshooting is often required when a migration or release has not gone according to plan and an unexpected problem arises.
What do we do during a troubleshooting investigation?
When troubleshooting, we first take a look at the nature of the complaints. During that process we also talk to a number of the people involved within your organisation. On the basis of those results, we first make an analysis of the performance issues. We then monitor the performance in production. We usually do that from a number of different locations, such as offices, at home or from the data centre. We also carry out targeted tests in order to simulate the problems. We then provide a solution. Once that has been applied, the platform will then be tested again.
What do you get after a troubleshooting investigation?
You will receive a report from us containing concrete suggestions for improvements, which will help in optimising the performances of your application. Some improvements can be implemented during the testing process, and if you make changes in the short term, then we will test those immediately. This will allow you to trust that the application is functioning well once again, as well as limiting or avoiding reputational damage.
